Thread: Thinking of adding a LASER to my CNC - where do I start?

Thank you for looking - I just got my CNC running and I've done a little routing. I have a sign business and I think it'd be cool to add some Laser options to the signs. I'd like to do pictures or halftones on signs to add cool effects or cut light materials. I'd like to know where to start as I know nothing about lasers or if I need a different BOB, Software or what watt laser to look into. If you could give me some guidance or point me in the right direction it'd be greatly appreciated. Thank you! Oh Yeah - a little info on my setup. It's a BLACKFOOT 4x8 CNC, Mach3 & Cambam. I also do my preliminary design in Corel Draw x5.
