I bought a second hand SMT500 a year ago. When I received it, I backed up all the files. We are 3/4s the way through a full refurbishment and I wanted to test the limit switches. Unfortunately, it has taken that long that the batteries did not keep the settings.
I cannot find where I stored my backup of the data. Can these files be recreated ?? I hope so.
I've made some progress and found a lot more info in the manuals, but getting the machine to 'recover' from memory loss is a issue.
It has a Fanuc O-MD controller. After boot I have some of the screens, but it looks like, unless some of the parameters are manuall set, some functions are not working. Eg read from the serial port and mode keys etc.
I have found parameters on setting the serial port, but, the hard edit key does not light and I beleive that I need to have the machine in edit mode before it will talk RS232.
A nice member from Canada talked me through entering the 0900-0950 parameters. Once these were entered, the machine had a big wake up.
All the button and screen options came alive and I can do a lot more now. I have a few alarms to sort out. I presume these are incorrect parameters and I'm hoping I can download the file I have into them machine ignoring the alarms.
The numbers go from
N0001- N0879
N0900- N999 (special paramaters i beleive)
N1000- N1128
N2000- N2128
N3000- N3128
N6140- N6979
N8100- N8399
I also have Variable settings values
D300 - D395 Timer settings going in steps of 5
D501 - D520 Tool Number
D450 - D474 PC Counter
D560 - D565 Keep relay
I also have 2 macro functions, one for auto tool change and one for manual.
I hope this is enough.
PS Anyone know of one of these running, please let me know.
